Paramedical services are those services where professionals help the doctors in specialized areas and facilities for better diagnosis, treatment and therapy. The increasing demand of skilled para-medical professionals has opened up several career opportunities for young aspirants in India as well as abroad. Without paramedics, the entire health care industry will come to a standstill and become almost non-functionary. Students pursuing Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) at 10 + 2 level mainly aim at becoming a doctor. But very few of them give attention to the paramedical field which includes professionals like nurses, medical laboratory technologist, Radiology. Operation Theater Technician etc. All these professionals support the doctor in treatment of the ever increasing number of patients, afflicted with various diseases, making health care easy and effective. It is a vast field.There are many courses available at degree, diploma and certificate level.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION
1.1 Academic Qualification/Eligibility Criteria
1.1.a. The minimum qualification for programmes of certificate courses is to pass S.S.C. examination.
1.1.b. The minimum qualification for academic programmes of diploma in any paramedical course is to pass 10+2 in any stream.
1.1.c. Any graduates from any stream can enroll paramedic courses.
1.2 Date of Birth: Date of birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board/University certificate/other equivalent board/council only will be considered acceptable.
1.3 Physical Fitness: It is essential that the candidate possesses good general physique, normal vision and hearing. There should be no abnormality in heart and lungs and no history of mental disease or epileptic fits. It is advised that the applicant gets himself/herself medically examined to ensure the requisite medical standards, before submitting his/her application.
1.4 Certificate required All relevant original certificates shall be required at the time of counselling.
